Expansion, Innovation & Celebration: Key Updates from Dublin’s Euromovers Conference and Beyond

Euromovers conference to be held in Dublin

Euromovers international held its annual conference in Dublin with delegates taking part in series of discussions and business and social events.

The conference, hosted Chairman of the EUROMOVERS Stephen Strauss was held at the Hyatt hotel in the city centre.

Aside from the conference attendees partook in a city excursion including learning how to Irish dance, sing ‘Molly Malone’ alongside the iconic statue, and pulling a pint of Guinness at the Guinness Storehouse. In keeping with Ireland’s notoriety for alcohol, guests also visited the Teeling distillery, one of the oldest in Dublin.

Among the topics discussed was Artificial Intelligence or AI. The keynote speaker Bilal Zafar used the conference to launch his new book titled ‘The smartest friend we’ve ever had’.

The Euromovers conference in 2026 will be held in Dubai.

DKV expands its charging network in Ireland

DKV Mobility has partnered with EasyGo, one of Ireland's largest charge point operators, to expand its electric vehicle charging network. The move now means that DKV Mobility could offer over1,150 charging points throughout the country.

Nearly one-third are DC high-power chargers, enabling faster and more efficient charging. All newly integrated charge points can be accessed using the DKV Card +Charge or the DKV Mobility app.

McGimpsey’s expands in Ireland

The Irish McGimpsey brothers have reopened a new depot in Dublin. The new depot, the third in the country, is strategically located just north of Dublin city.  It has 20,000sqft of warehouse space and additional offices. Managing Director of the company Melissa Gibbons said the move allows the company to expand its efficiency and grow its customer base:

“The expansion allows us to enhance our service coverage, improve operational efficiency and support our growing customer demand more effectively.”

The company has been in business for 40 years and now operates 75,000 sq ft of warehouse space in Ireland.

Warehousing has been a key industry in Ireland post-Brexit with several businesses leveraging Ireland as a hub for warehousing to continue trading with the EU.

In May 2022, the leading property investment fund Quanta, launched a €300m fund targeting sale and leaseback deals in the logistics sector in Ireland.
